Lynn Osmond became president of the Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF) in November of 1996. The CAF presents a comprehensive program of tours, exhibitions, lectures, special events and youth education programs, designed to enhance public awareness and appreciation of Chicago's outstanding architectural legacy.

In 1998, CAF was awarded the Chicago Community Trust’s James Brown Community Service Award for the Most Outstanding Chicago Community Organization. In 2002 Lynn Osmond was awarded the Paul Berger Arts Entrepreneurship Award presented by Columbia College and in 2005 was recognized as an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects. Other awards during Ms. Osmond’s tenure include the Richard Driehaus Award for Schoolyards to Skylines in 2003; Large Institution of the Year Award presented by the Illinois Association of Museums, Design Excellence Award for CitySpace Gallery from AIA Chicago, the National Preservation Honor Award for Schoolyards to Skylines from the National Trust in 2004 and the AIA Institute Honor Award for Collaborative Achievement for Schoolyards to Skylines in 2005.

Prior to joining CAF, Ms. Osmond spent seventeen years running major performing arts companies in both Canada and the United States with noteworthy success in expanding the financial base of the organizations. These include the Sacramento Symphony, the Buffalo Philharmonic, The Canadian Stage Company in Toronto and Orchestra London Canada among others.

Ms. Osmond received an Honor's Bachelor of Music degree from Queen's University in Kingston Ontario, Canada and in 1999 received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. In addition to serving CAF as a docent herself, she also currently serves on the boards of the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association and the Chicago Central Area Committee, on the Executive Committee of the Greater State Street Council, and co-chairs the Toronto Sister Cities Committee. She is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, The University Club, The Chicago Network, Urban Land Institute, Lambda Alpha and the Village of Winnetka Design Review Committee.

CAF’s architecture center is located in the Santa Fe Building at 224 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60614. The AchiCenter is open daily from 9:30am – 4pm; the ArchiCenter Shop and Tour Center is open Monday-Saturday from 9am-6:30pm and on Sunday, 9am-6pm.
